Longevity Concepts, Eric Hieger Biography

Eric attended Adelphi University in Garden City, NY, where he was graduated magna cum laude and earned a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Health Studies and Bio-Related Sciences. Eric continued his studies at the Swedish Institute for Massage Therapy and Allied Health Sciences, obtaining his massage certification and New York State License.

A certified personal trainer and exercise therapist specializing in sports and medical applications, Eric works with professional athletes designing and implementing strengthening, conditioning, and rehabilitative programs. These have included top-ranked ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) Tour players, the New York Islanders, and local competitive runners, cyclists, triathletes, boxers and martial artists. His work is supplemented by a background in exercise physiology and kinesiology, biomechanics, nutrition, stress management, martial arts and weight training.

In 1993, Eric co-founded Longevity Concepts, a business with a holistic approach to health and fitness. Services provided include personal training, massage therapy, exercise therapy, nutritional counseling and stress management.

In 1994, Eric initiated corporate on-site massage therapy and wellness programs as an adjunct to the services provided by Longevity Concepts. In addition, he became the primary organizer of volunteer massage therapy teams for the Long Island, NY chapters of March of Dimes, American Diabetes Association, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

In 1995, Eric became the Director of Fitness and Massage Therapy at the Cold Spring Country Club in Cold Spring Harbor, NY.

In 1997, Eric moved to San Francisco, CA, and shortly thereafter became the Director of Massage Therapy for Northern California for SportsCare, a chiropractic and physical therapy organization with multiple locations connected with Pinnacle and Bally's Health Clubs. During the same year, Longevity Concepts began offering ergonomic consultation and a variety of corporate training seminars.

Shortly thereafter, Eric launched Hieger International Inc., as a natural extension of the training, nutrition, coaching and consulting work that they had provided for individuals and businesses. Eric has received Professional Coach Training from MentorCoach and CoachVille.

Eric earned his M.A. in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in transformative psychotherapy, followed by a doctoral degree in Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, CA.

Hieger Intl. Inc. was founded by Eric D. Hieger, Psy.D. He is a native New Yorker with extensive business experience on both the East and West coasts. He began his entrepreneurial career at the age of 12 with a paper route, steadily gaining experience across multiple fields and holding the titles of Sales Consultant, Sales Manager, Regional Director, Vice President and President of various organizations. Eric holds a Master's and Doctoral Degree in Psychology from CIIS, San Francisco, CA.
